The Orthopaedic Institute (TOI) is a highly successful private practice group of specialty physicians providing the complete spectrum of musculoskeletal care. From prevention and diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation, the experienced specialists of TOI offer patient-centered solutions to help individuals achieve their personal wellness goals.
With the impending retirement of its current Chief Executive Officer,TOI is seeking a leader who will position their organization for future growth and long-term sustainability. Supporting the corporate mission, the new CEO will play a critical role for supporting the smooth and efficient operation of this independent group, and has the responsibility for executing upon the strategic plan.
The preferred CEO candidate will have a broad health care bandwidth with proven leadership experience at multiple levels of healthcare. This leadership position requires a leader that can further enhance a superior organizational culture, and bring clarity to facilitate strategies that a high functioning management team can get behind and support. In addition, the CEO will have the acumen to address and facilitate the operational, financial, and regulatory aspects of healthcare as well as the business development skills to assess potential growth opportunities. It will be important for this individual to align with and educate the partners on new models of reimbursement and to provide data analytics and valid pro-formas to calibrate future direction and consensus.
Preferred candidates will have demonstrated leadership experience in large physician groups in advanced markets, knowledge of the orthopaedic industry, ancillary expansion, and/or the acute care environment. Knowledge of healthcare finance and budgeting, and a track record of success in developing, implementing and/or overseeing programs of quality improvement, resource management, real estate, research/scientific trials and leading edge service excellence is a priority. We seek a leader who is confident in their abilities and experience, and able to develop relationships, earn trust and inspire others.
The successful candidate will be well-versed in leading and advocating in a time of transformational change in the delivery and financing of healthcare. The CEO will demonstrate a relentless commitment to improvement and excellence. This individual will be a dynamic, thoughtful and results driven executive who is called to lead TOI into its next chapter of growth and service.
