The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, located in Stratford, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time certified nurse midwife. This is a faculty position. Under the general supervision of the Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the site Medical Director, the major duties of a Nurse Midwifery faculty member include, but are not limited to, antiparietal, intraparietal, and postpartal care of patients in the office and hospital settings, assuming on call responsibilities with triage of patient phone calls, and providing care for patients during labor and vaginal deliveries. Duties also include family planning counseling, basic gynecologic care in the clinical office setting, and other duties as assigned by the chair.
Candidates must have a graduate degree in nursing (MSN) from an accredited midwifery nursing program, board certified as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) in the State of New Jersey, CDS and DEA. Salary is competitive, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package including Rowan undergraduate tuition for eligible dependents. Our clinical campus is located in the Philadelphia metropolitan area approximately 8 miles from Philadelphia, 1 hour from the Atlantic Ocean and 2 hours from New York City.
