The CCU /Cath Lab RN manages quality patient care through the nursing process. Coordinates plan of care with the health care team. Assumes leadership role for unit personnel to prepare and assist them with their responsibilities. Employees are responsible for completion of unit competency assessments, annual safety review, CPR, and renewal of license by maintaining continuing education units as required by hospital policy.

RN Selection Criteria
Cath Lab and/or Critical Care nursing experience required, primarily in cardiovascular nursing. Angiographic experience desired. Current California Registered Nurse license. Current CPR certification. Current ACLS One– (two + preferred) years of Critical Care or Cath. Lab experience. Must be able to take emergency call back with a 20-minute response time. Knowledge of sterile technique, radiation safety, emergency procedures, knowledge of arterial and venous circulation. Ability to work effectively with others by demonstrating a team approach to patient care.
