Gathers information and composes job descriptions which include critical information such as essential duties; educational and experience requirements; licensure and credentialing requirements; and other related information used for posting, compensation, employee selection, and performance management. Maintains the integrity of the job description library. Conducts desk audits and participates in market studies as required. This is a highly confidential position.
This position is exempt from Career Service under the CCHHS Personnel Rules.
Interviews incumbents or management to gather information on job duties and job requirements
Gathers information on similar positions from online market resources and surveys
Identifies level of education and experience to perform essential duties of the job
Identifies critical skills and compensable job factors
Describes the scope and responsibilities of a position (e.g., fiscal; supervisory)
Recommends appropriate titles based on internal precedent and external trends
Secures appropriate managerial approvals and maintains the integrity of the job description library
May assist with the selection process by: creating job postings and screening questions for the Applicant Tracking System according to CCHHS practices; guiding hiring managers in the creation of behavior based interview questions; determining appropriate pre-employment skills, testing and identifying appropriate selection tests/instruments (e.g., written and oral tests and job simulations)
Bachelor's or higher level degree (Must provide official transcripts at the time of interview)
Four (4) years of experience within human resources is required.
Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources with primary responsibility for writing job descriptions and conducting job analysis for technical, professional, or clinical positions is required.
Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or Human Resources.
Knowledge of Title VII and related employment laws gained through education or on the job experience.
Prior experience in union environment.
Prior experience in a compensation function.
Prior experience in a compliance driven environment
