The Education Developer III is the most senior level content developer for the team and assume lead responsibilities for large and complex efforts.
The Education Developer will be responsible for designing, develop and delivering intuitive, engaging and impactful learning materials, across a variety of learning mediums. The Education Developer is expected to be a highly creative and innovative to imagine and create training videos, games, job aids, leader guides, ILT materials, PowerPoint presentations and e-learning deliverables.
o Content Development
o Collaborate with other designer and developers in all phases of the learning framework (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation), to think creatively to produce and recommend new concepts and ideas.
o Develop and/or edit a variety of training related content: blogs, articles, alerts, bulletins, web copy, intranet content, manuals, presentations, job aids, e-learning, etc.
o Work with functional and technical subject matter experts to translate knowledge and processes into course content that support skills training and knowledge application
o Update/Maintain Learning website(s) with latest documentation (information, process changes, etc.)
o Use training templates, standards and guidelines, and common methodology as defined by the Training Team, to ensure consistent deliverables across audiences and modules
o Employ a rapid-development approach to instructional design
o Ensure training is innovative, engaging and on the cutting edge of training technology.
o Engage SMEs to ensure relevant learning. Adequately scope, communicate, and plan for SME involvement to ensure accurate content design.
o Participate in quality assurance oversight related to all education deliverables.
* Applications & Technology
o Keep abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D Studio, Director, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Articulate Storyline, Captivate, DocuTools, etc.
* Project Management
o Lead the development service line in developing course delivery schedule and timelines.
o Take the lead on monitoring progress on the development service line, resolve issues and approve deviations from original plans.
* Brand, Template, and Content Management
o Collaborate with Communications and Marketing in the creation of style guide
o Ensure all content produced by the Learning and Development team adheres to Learning and Development team style guide.
o Serve as the lead for the Learning Management System
o Serve as the lead for the virtual library, and IMLD intranet pages.
o Demonstrate strong communication and human relationship skills.
o Provide effective customer service by being courteous, polite and friendly at all times. Acknowledge customers timely in order to determine their need and help the customer resolve the issue or request. Participate in departmental programs that promote and deliver exceptional customer service.
o Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Manager of Educational Services.
o Pursue professional growth and development through personal reading, seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the trends in his/her field of expertise. May be required to travel to perform duties.
o May be required to work outside of normal working hours.
o May be required to work long hours during critical problems or implementations.
