University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (SRH) is seeking an innovative and operationally savvy executive to lead Ambulatory Services and Clinical Integration for the three hospital system serving the Mid-Shore region of Maryland. The newly created Vice President role is the result of evolving the operational and clinical structure of a growing health system in order to align and integrate patient focused services, utilize resources wisely and become the leader in the communities it serves.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Vice President Ambulatory Services and Clinical Integration will focus in both the short and long term on developing and maintaining ambulatory services including ambulatory strategic planning, operations, service excellence and care delivery. This Vice President will join a leadership culture that is highly collaborative and invested in patient care. The leader must have strong relationship skills to bridge departments and initiate new ideas and help set a vision and an integrated, coordinated approach for Ambulatory Services which will help achieve necessary efficiencies and improve operating performance, as well as improve access, broaden the array of clinical services and enhance quality.
UM Shore Regional Health was created as a result of the merger of Shore Health System in Easton, Maryland and Chester River Hospital based in Chestertown, Maryland in 2013. With the Chesapeake Bay in between, SRH and University of Maryland Medical System are working to advance their clinical integration on the Shore and within the system in order to expand collaboration with the faculty at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished executive to make an immediate impact on the continued development and execution of mission-critical ambulatory strategies for a progressive health care system. We seek candidates who have a demonstrated track record of success as a visionary leader, someone who is able to create and implement a new patient-centered delivery model which is cost effective, efficient and sensitive to the needs of the providers in addition to the evolving health care organizational, financing and delivery models. Candidates will have leadership stature, along with proven success in ambulatory operations. This newly created position requires an innovative leader with strategic thinking and highly developed business development skills. He/she will need to have the ability to drive exemplary ambulatory clinical excellence by transforming culture, redesigning care delivery models, and enhancing clinical integration and alignment.
