Witt/Kieffer has been retained by Holy Cross Health to assist in their recruitment efforts for an experienced physician executive who will provide medical leadership for the clinical care that is delivered across the system’s health centers and primary care sites and to develop and manage the system’s physician network. Based in Montgomery County, Maryland, Holy Cross Health, a member of TrinityHealth, is seeking a Vice President Medical Affairs (VPMA) for Holy Cross Health Network (HCHN), one of three operating divisions of Holy Cross Health. Holy Cross Health is a strong, growing regional health system; this individual will play a pivotal role in developing and supporting initiatives that further this growth.
HCHN is the community-based operating division of Holy Cross Health. It builds and manages relationships with physicians, insurers and other health care organizations; operates four Holy Cross Health Centers that provide primary care to low-income individuals; operates two Holy Cross Health Partners primary care sites; offers a wide range of health and wellness programs; and oversees Holy Cross Health's community benefit program.
HCHN is responsible for Holy Cross Health's physician practices, community health programs and developing innovative relationships with physicians and insurers to advance population health. Holy Cross Health is a strong, growing regional health system. HCHN will serve as a catalyst for clinical integration, enhancing access, improving practice standardization and reducing the variation of care across the enterprise.
The VPMA reports to the President of Holy Cross Health Network and has two primary responsibilities: provide clinical leadership to Holy Cross Health's physician practices, and lead Holy Cross Health's physician network development. This person will play a leadership role in transforming the Network to be highly adaptive and successful in a rapidly changing and increasingly competitive healthcare market and payer environment.
Holy Cross Health seeks a highly collaborative leader with success in building physician organizations or networks while leading quality initiatives. Experience with health centers, physician practice management or care coordination is essential. Candidates will be knowledgeable and understand PCMH, quality and productivity and trends in healthcare reform. Candidates will have an M.D. from an accredited school of medicine and successful completion of a residency program, primary care preferred; MBA, MHA or equivalent preferred.
