We are looking for an experienced Medical Director to join our team in Ridgefield, Washington!
The Medical Director is responsible to provide 24-hour management of the Nursing/Health Services and Medical and Psychiatric Services of the facility. He/she is responsible for providing effective leadership to staff, has knowledge of the organization and function of the Company and directs all therapeutic activities within the facility in accordance with standards of State and Federal regulations; and other indicated regulatory and accrediting organizations and agencies.
Core competencies include:
Proficiency in the completion of history and physicals (H&P)
Proficiency in the completion of the follow-up evaluation in terms of the assessment of the present illness, continued treatment of medical and/or withdrawal symptoms, and updated treatment plan.
Ability to function as a team player and able to integrate other disciplines into the current treatment plan and patient care.
Ability to handle any call situation while on call
Understand ASAM criteria and to document decision making accordingly.
Proficiency and knowledge of medications, assessment for medication complications, and prescribing of medications.
Completion of the psychiatric evaluation
Completion of the follow-up evaluation
