Senior Health Benefits Analyst - Remote/Various Locations - 10189
As a Senior Health Benefits Analyst, you will work collaboratively with Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) and other health group team members to provide analysis and consultative support for employee benefit offerings including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Stop Loss, Life Insurance, wellness, and clinical programs. Analysts perform at a high level of proficiency in analytical work and client/vendor interactions, while collaborating with peers on financial analyses and other projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage vendor procurement assignments (RFPs) on behalf of our clients, within budgets.
  • Analyze each vendor's response from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective.
  • Develop familiarity with unique vendor programs and how they vary from their competition.
  • Interact with CRMs in establishing the scope for new projects.
  • Support CRMs with presentations to clients.
  • Collaborate with the firm's Medical Director and Clinical team on clinical and wellness programs for our clients.
  • Work with and analyze complex data including demography, claims experience, financial performance, cost-effectiveness, budget projections, renewal analysis, and health delivery system issues.
  • Prepare reports and memoranda communicating results of analysis to consultants and clients.
  • Review work completed by other health benefit analysts for accuracy, completeness, and quality.

  • Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of health benefits, managed care, and/or underwriting experience. More extensive work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment managing multiple conflicting deadlines.
  • Candidates with advanced Excel capabilities including VBA programming are preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management experience/skills.
