The  Senior Manager of Physician Billing is responsible for:

Overseeing and optimizing revenue cycle operations for physician practices. Key responsibilities:

*Financial Leadership*

1. Develop and implement revenue cycle strategies to maximize revenue and reduce bad debt.

2. Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to leadership.

3. Establish and manage budgets for revenue cycle operations.

*Operational Oversight*

1. Supervise revenue cycle staff, including billing, and collections.

2. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, Medicare).

3. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

*Revenue Cycle Management

1. Charge capture and coding

2. Insurance verification and billing

3. Claims submission and follow-up

4. Payment posting and reconciliation

5. Denial management and appeals

*Compliance and Risk*

1. Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.

2. Conduct regular audits and compliance reviews.

3. Identify and mitigate revenue cycle risks.

*Technology and Analytics*

1. Implement and optimize revenue cycle technology.

2. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities.

3. Develop dashboards and reports for revenue cycle performance.

*Leadership and Communication*

1. Lead revenue cycle teams and provide guidance.

2. Communicate revenue cycle performance to stakeholders.

3. Foster collaborative relationships with physicians, administrators, and staff.

*Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)*

1. Revenue growth

2. Days in Accounts Receivable (A/R)

3. A/R over 120 days

4. Bad debt percentage

5. Claims denial rate

6. Patient satisfaction

*Required Skills*

1. Healthcare revenue cycle expertise

2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

3. Effective communication and leadership abilities

4. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance

5. Experience with revenue cycle technology and analytics

*Education and Certification*

 Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP) or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) certification desirable

Bachelors Degree preferred
