4th Year Chief Resident (Junior Faculty)
HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking PGY-4 Chief Residents for its GME Internal Medicine Continuity Clinic. We are seeking candidates with a broad knowledge base, desire for medical education, excellent presentation skills, and dedication to a collaborative environment. The PGY-4 Chief Resident positions are a one-year experience that offers a unique blend of education, patient care, and administration while providing opportunity for developing and enhancing clinical, teaching and administrative skills, leadership ability, and personal growth.
Responsibilities include:Supervising residents in the outpatient clinic setting
Teaching residents in a formal didactic setting
Assisting program leadership with day-to-day administrative duties
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Direct patient care duties including precepting residents and medical students in the clinic as well as supervision of residents.
Assisting the Program Director with administrative duties, as well as participation in academic didactic sessions.
Opportunity to develop his/her clinical and personal leadership style, and gain skills involved in administration, management, and communication.
Provide patient care for patients in the continuity clinic
Residents must abide by all of the basic standards for residency training in Internal Medicine provided by the ACGME.
Requirements:Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency program
Board eligible for the ABIM
