POSITION SUMMARY
This position is primarily responsible work closely with IT&S department and business leaders to determine an organization's critical information technology needs and to assist in the implementation of forward-facing solutions to help businesses scale their operations and run efficiently. This role balances extensive familiarity with business needs and practices with the technical aptitude to understand project requirements and scope and ensure that IT&S products and services meet these requirements. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Plays a vital role in determining the scope and requirements of each IT&S project. In this aspect of the role, the IT&S business analyst works with both the IT&S department and business leaders to prepare reports that outline the project specifications, requirements and scope and ensure that they align with the overall project goals.
2. Develops and utilizes standard templates to write requirements and specifications accurately and concisely. Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team
3. Plays an active role in system and project testing procedures. Oversee periodic system testing to ensure that it continually meets functional requirements, oversee usability and user acceptance testing throughout the organization both before and after deployment, and gather user data to make recommendations to improve functionality or reliability.
4. Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team. Creates technical and project documentation, including user guides.
Assist in the development and assists in peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted
5. Determines and designs end user training and curriculum for applications and systems. Facilitates the initial rollout and ongoing training of the user community.
6. Maintains current professional and technical knowledge relating to the healthcare industry by attending educational workshops/conferences, establishing personal networks, and/or maintaining relevant certification or licensure as business needs require. Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Education, or Information Systems ; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience and proficiency with knowledgebase, defect tracking, and requirements related software systems (such as ServiceNow)
- Three (3) years' experience in SDLC methodologies, (such as Agile, Lean or Six Sigma)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) Certification, preferred
- Industry certifications in business analysis, software systems, network or project management disciplines.
- Experience in the healthcare industry.
