The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a Director Medical Group - Department of Surgery and a Director of Medicine in the greater Burlington area.

 

 

 

The Director of Medicine oversees the following subspecialties within the department of Medicine: Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Rheumatology. These specialties are located in three locations within greater Burlington area (Main hospital, Tilley and San Remo Drive, South Burlington).

 

 

 

The Medical Group Director of Operations-Surgery is a key member of the UVMHN Medical Group leadership team. The individual is responsible for ensuring high-value services and operational oversight of UVMHN Medical Group practices/services in the Department of Surgery. The Medical Group operates in a highly matrixed environment with close working relationships between Network Department Chairs, Vice Presidents, and Hospital Campus leadership. This position is the local campus specific leader responsible for standardizing operational processes and policies in support of the mission and vision of the UVM Health Network. This position collaborates with other UVMHN Medical Group Directors to support clinical integration and achievement of OKRs.

 

 

 

 

EDUCATION:

 

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health or related field required. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration or a related area.

 

 

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

 

 

Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in a health care management setting, preferably in an academic physician practice setting.
