We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PPS Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring our facility meets the highest standards of care while optimizing financial performance under the Prospective Payment System guidelines.

• Clinician licensed in the state of Texas, preferably an LVN, is highly desirable.

• Certification in ICD-10 Coding required.

• Proven experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong preference for experience in a PPS-related role.

• Comprehensive understanding of PPS regulations, Medicare and other payer systems.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

• Strong commitment to providing high-quality care and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Your Role:

• Coordinate and oversee patient assessments to ensure compliance with Medicare and other payer requirements under the PPS framework.

• Ensure accurate and timely completion and submission of required documentation, IRF-PAI for rehabilitation centers.

• Stay abreast of changes in PPS regulations and guidelines, implementing necessary adjustments to facility practices.

• Provide ongoing education and support to clinical and administrative staff regarding PPS requirements and documentation standards.

• Analyze patient data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimizing reimbursement.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care and reimbursement strategies.

• Work closely with the billing department to ensure accurate billing and address any discrepancies or denials.

• Codes medical record documentation according to professional standards and rules particular to acute inpatient rehabilitation guidelines. Provides correct ICD-10 CMS and CMG Codes on all procedures and diagnoses rendered.
