Our client, Eagle Physicians & Associates, P.A., is a Greensboro, NC medical group with over 400 employees, 15 locations and additional departments such as pathology and physical therapy. Eagle Physicians is associated with the Triad Healthcare Network and the local Cone Health ACO. They are also a shareholder of Stratum Med Inc. Among their top priorities are providing top of the line diagnosis and treatment and continuity of care.

Eagle Physicians & Associates, P.A. is looking to fill a Chief Executive Officer role. The Board of Directors will have oversight of this role and the CEO will oversee several positions including the COO, CFO, CHRO, and more. This individual will serve as a strong leader who cares for and facilitates the group’s current and future growth. The CEO will also pay special attention to and foster the overall culture of the group. This individual will also ensure oversight of group processes and compliance and will possess and understanding of the healthcare field. Networking and promotion of the medical group will also be required.

  • Effectively prioritizes duties and tasks and deals with work pressure and demands gracefully. Appears to have a reasonable balance between work and personal needs;

Qualifications / Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of and appreciation for the culture and environment associated with managing a complex service organization in a competitive, turbulent, market driven atmosphere.
  • Evidence of the ability to develop and work with involved, qualified Board members.
  • Evidence of the ability to interact, relate to, work with, and support the activities of highly qualified, dynamic physicians.
  • Knowledge and experience in establishing and/or developing new entities such as Accountable Care Organizations and the Patient Centered Medical Home.
  • Continually educates him/herself and the organization in the changing waves of the Affordable Care Act, Patient Centered Medical Home and other laws and their impact on the organization.
  • Ability to delegate responsibility to senior subordinates, allowing them the room to identify ways and means to accomplish specific goals and objectives.

Education, Experience, Training:

  • MBA or MHA and 5+ years experience as a chief executive, vice president or other senior-level executive in an outpatient multi-specialty health care setting with a wide scope of health care knowledge and experience.
  • Strong physician relations and understanding of physician practice management.
  • Managed care experience and knowledge value-based care.
