Zuri Plastic Surgery is a boutique plastic surgery office located in Miami, FL. Its founder and Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Alexander Zuriarrain, is one of the only surgeons in the country to hold four board certifications. We are seeking a business development/project manager with excellent IT skills and work ethic to join a busy cosmetic medical practice with a plastic surgery clinic and medical spa. We are seeking someone with a high degree of initiative and excellent judgment to help facilitate the implementation of a variety of business development strategies. Job Title:   Business Development/Project Manager
 
Immediate Supervisor Title: Practice Administrator
 
General Summary: An exempt, management position responsible for project management and business development duties.
 
Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manages the daily functions of project and business office management.
  2. Helps organization develop organizational business development strategies and implementation based upon identified needs of patients.
  3. Oversees launch of already developed business application.
  4. Leads business development activities.
  5. Leads and initiates implementation of IT strategies

Education: BA degree in health care administration, business administration, health administration, or IT preferred.
 
Experience: Minimum 2 years management-level experience including experience in project management and IT.
 

Performance Requirements:
 
Knowledge:

  1. Knowledge of principles and practices of health care planning and management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate business development for a clinical practice.
  2. Knowledge of the purposes, organization, and policies of the community's health systems sufficient to interact with other health care providers.
  3. Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a clinic sufficient to direct its operations and to provide effective patient care.
  4. Knowledge and understanding of information technology space sufficient to oversee and direct implementation of business strategies in the IT field.

Duties:

  1. Develop the project schedule and plan to ensure timely completion of the project. Obtain management agreement with the project plan and timeline, and advise of any obstacles or resource needs that may affect completion of the project as planned. Assemble the project team, identify competencies, and assign resources to development tasks appropriate to each individual’s knowledge, skill, and abilities. Communicate project goals, monitor project progress, and adjust resources as necessary to keep the project on track. Apply project management tools and tracking systems to manage all aspects of project progress. Utilize project resources and serve as an individual contributor to develop programming code or software modifications using appropriate languages and tools to optimize resources and meet functional user requirements. Utilize project resources and serve as an individual contributor to analyze user system and application needs, determine and evaluate potential solutions, develop system specifications and requirements, and design application programs to meet the requirements. Utilize project resources and serve as an individual contributor to structure, implement, and devise innovative business solutions.

Abilities:

  1. Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions.
  2. Ability to establish and maintain quality control standards.
  3. Ability to organize and integrate organizational priorities and deadlines.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
 
Work Environment: Position is in a well-lighted office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work.
 
Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
