UCI Health seeks a dynamic, accomplished executive to serve as its next Vice President, Ambulatory Care. This is a unique opportunity at one of the most respected healthcare institutions in the U.S.

UCI Health consistently ranks among America's best hospitals, recognized for excellence in patient care, quality, and safety. As an academic health system powered by a top research university, which is a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU), UCI Health's physicians and scientists produce leading-edge treatments and technologies that set national and international standards of care.

Located in one of the country's most desired destinations, UCI Health is the county's only healthcare system supported by the University of California and dedicated to both discovery and treatment. Orange County is the sixth-largest county in the United States, with 3.2 million residents. UCI Health's catchment area is over 4 million people, for which they are the only academic medical center. The University of California, Irvine is a vibrant scientific and clinical community with outstanding opportunities for collaboration with other providers in the region and statewide initiatives for expansion and economies of scale with other University of California medical centers as far north as Sacramento and south as San Diego. The UC Irvine School of Medicine, one of the top medical schools for research, is where the groundbreaking research and treatment advances are imparted to tomorrow's rising practitioners.

The Vice President, Ambulatory Care will report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and is responsible for overseeing and managing of over 80 ambulatory care clinics across the Health System. The incoming Vice President will serve as an operational leader and partner in advancing key strategic areas, including oncology, orthopedics, neuroscience and cardiovascular care. The Vice President will also serve as a strategic partner in creating the future of ambulatory care at UCI Health, leading innovative models of patient-centered care and planning for future ambulatory expansion. This includes building out Irvine-Newport Medical Campus with the state-of-the-art Ambulatory Care Center which is anticipated to open for patients in July 2024. Clearly the UCI Health system is in growth mode, having recently completed the acquisition of four hospitals and their associated outpatient locations. This growth will move the system to over $4 billion in net revenue with an expanded ambulatory footprint and volumes. Continued growth is anticipated throughout the next decade.

Candidates should possess senior leadership experience in ambulatory care, a strong track record of achievement and a history of successfully working in a complex, highly matrixed healthcare organization. A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree, M.D. or clinical credentials preferred.
