Main Line Health, one of the leading not-for-profit health systems serving the Philadelphia region, has an exciting leadership opportunity as the Director of Ambulatory Practice Operations. If you embrace the challenge of evolving or transforming the delivery of care in a rapidly changing industry, this is your opportunity to be recognized as a leader and visionary.

As the Director of Ambulatory Practice Operations, you’ll be responsible for intensive program planning and development in surgical, vascular and specialty outpatient arenas, as well as physician relations and market growth. Bring your strong interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills to manage and provide strategic direction and lead daily operations with Operations Managers, Practice Managers, physician leadership and hospital/MLHC leadership, focusing on patient safety, patient satisfaction, personnel management and development, performance improvement and financial stewardship.

Like our patients, the Main Line Health Family includes a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities. Just as each patient needs a personalized care plan, each employee, physician and volunteer bring unique talents to Main Line Health. Despite our differences, we all share a common purpose: delivering superior service and care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage all business and clinical functions for primary care physician (PCP) or specialty practices.
  • Participate in projects related to business development and service line growth.
  • Assess practice needs and contribute to overall strategic goals.
  • Facilitate the development and execution of operating plans, goals and objectives.
  • Develop and guide long-term and short-term initiatives with senior management to meet system goals.
  • Provide leadership to administrative and clinical staff for efficient resource utilization and service delivery.
  • Innovate solutions to enhance productivity and profitability.
  • Develop, communicate, execute and sustain strategic initiatives for the system.

REWARDS:

  • Excellent compensation, inclusive health benefit and exceptional retirement plans, including an employer-funded pension plan and a 403b savings plan.
  • This role qualifies for Main Line Health's Flexible PTO (paid time off) program, providing you the freedom and flexibility to take paid time off as needed — no set number of days per year allotted to your position, and no wait period to begin using your flexible PTO.
  • Continue your education with certifications or advanced degrees. In this role, you’ll qualify for up to $6,000 per year in tuition reimbursement.
  • You’ll also receive various employee discounts for activities, services and vendors.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A BS or BA in health care, business or a related field.
  • An MBA or MHA is strongly preferred.
  • At least 10 years of management experience demonstrating a successful history in managing physician practices.
  • At least 5 years of experience in practice management is expected.
  • Experience in clinical program development, new business and marketing is required.
