Executive Administrator - Orthopaedic Surgery Practice

Job Purpose: The Executive Administrator will lead and direct the business, financial, and operational management of MidAmerica Orthopaedics. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation and growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Overall Management:
o Oversee all systems of the office, including analysis, solutions definition, implementation, and ongoing evaluation.
o Supervise Clinical, Operational, Administrative Managers and Directors and other key employees.
o Manage staff hiring, disciplinary matters, orientation, and training.
o Conduct regular staff meetings for information dissemination, training, and process improvement.
• Administration:
o Support the objectives of the physicians as a group and individually.
o Conduct regular physician meetings and work with individual physicians to analyze practices and develop new services.
o Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, including OSHA, HIPAA, JCAH and Medicare.
• Financial:
o Oversee expenses and income, looking for ways to decrease overhead and increase income.
o Manage accounts payable, payroll, and other financial requirements.
o Utilize data and analytics for process improvement and strategic development.
• Marketing & Development:
o Design and implement a marketing plan for the organization.
o Seek out marketing opportunities and build relationships with referral sources.
o Manage the integration of new physicians or providers into the practice.
• Special Projects:
o Implement and oversee special projects as required by the physicians, including facilities construction, mergers, and new systems implementation.
• Conduct:
o Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, promoting a positive image of MidAmerica Orthopaedics.
Requirements:
• Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
o Master's degree preferred.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years of progressive practice management experience, including financial, operational, human resource, and IT management, preferably in an orthopaedic practice.
• Skills:
o Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
o Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently, multitask, motivate, and educate.
o Proficiency with Office 365, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) software, PerfectServe, and Mitel Phone Systems.
