Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Practice Administrator to oversee the operations of our 21 physician 13 Advanced Practitioner cardiology group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
About our Practice
- WCVM is a well-established Cardiology Practice. WCVM moved to a newly built state of the art office in March of 2020. The 30,000 sq. ft. clinic connects to the cardiovascular lab and inpatient hospital. In addition, we have satellite clinics in Martinsburg W.V. and provide outreach services at 3 Valley Health Multi-specialty clinics throughout the Shenandoah Valley. WCVM leases its professional services to Valley Health through a professional service arrangement.
- Our physician team includes interventional cardiologists, non-invasive cardiologists, advanced heart failure specialists, structural heart specialists and electrophysiologists. At Winchester Medical Center, we provide cardiovascular consultative and procedural services.
- WCVM is a growing practice with 146 team members including a Clinic Director, Business Operations Manager, HR manager, System Support Manager, and a Scheduling Manager.
- We utilize EPIC as our EMR both in the clinic and hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the cardiology group, including strategic planning, budgeting, and financial management.
- Oversee personnel management, including physician recruitment, team training, and performance evaluation of management team members.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and department heads to optimize workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness and quality of care.
- Monitor key performance indicators and analyze data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Act as a liaison between the cardiology group, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Act as the “Go to” for physician concerns, compensation planning, 401k administration.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize service levels and cost savings.
- Represent the cardiology group in meetings, conferences, and community events to enhance visibility and reputation.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree with Certification in Practice Management (CMPE, FACHE, ACMPE,) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare administration, with specific experience in cardiology practice management preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and electronic health records systems.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record of driving operational efficiency, cost management, and quality improvement.
- Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and analytics (Excel).
- Certification in Healthcare Administration or similar field is a plus
