Methodist Hospitals is currently seeking candidates with a Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business Administration to serve as Director of Oncology Services.
The Director is delegated the responsibility and authority for coordinating the management of oncology services. The Director provides strategic leadership for the development and expansion of these clinical services to achieve a full and holistic continuum of services for customer needs. Working with the Medical Directors, the Director will guide the development of the overall leadership structure and strategic planning and will create goals for the financial and quality management of the services.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)
- Demonstrates ability to work closely with physicians in program development.
- Demonstrates competency in financial management and leadership in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and experience in oncology services.
- Develops and implements strategies to enhance the market and financial position of oncology service line.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with members of the medical staff.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business Administration is required.
