Rockford Center is seeking a dynamic and talented Recovery Specialist. Rockford Center is Delaware’s first private psychiatric facility and remains a leader in providing behavioral health care services and continues its commitment to providing quality health care. Rockford Center, a 138-bed acute psychiatric hospital continues to provide a full continuum of behavioral health services to geriatrics, adults, adolescents, and children. The Recovery Specialist will provide direct patient care to geriatrics, adults, adolescents and children with psychiatric disorders as well as dual-diagnosis patients to ensure the safety and well being of patients. Key Responsibilities include: Monitor unit patients and complete rounds as assigned. Participate in treatment planning by helping to identify patients’ problems, needs and strengths. Report all areas of concern regarding patient’s mental or physical status to the Charge Nurse. Assist in the admission process, including obtaining vital signs, safety search of patients and personal belongings, obtaining urine specimens and orienting new patients to the unit and their program. Ensure precaution protocols are followed, and encourage patients to actively participate in all program activities. Plan and prepare adequately for groups. Maintain patient, program, department and related documentation ensuring that forms are properly and promptly completed and routed.
