Palmetto Pee Dee Behavioral Health is a 59-bed behavioral health facility located in Florence, SC, offering adolescent behavioral health programs and treatment services to males and females ages 7-21. The Team Lead provides supervision for Mental Health Techs, manages employee schedules, provides training, ensures completion of staff documentation, and monitors timesheets and overtime usage. The Team Lead assures residents and staff are kept safe, and are aware of rules and expectations. The Team Lead acts as a role model for residents and staff, demonstrating effective problem solving and decision-making skills. Assists in providing recreational and therapeutic activities for the residents, transporting residents to and from medical appointments, and assuring scheduled programming is carried out. Position Overview Oversees all day to day operations of assigned shift on the milieu. Job Functions Directly supervises Mental Health Techs; conducts daily briefings. Manages employee schedules; monitors timesheets and overtime usage. Schedules and ensures staff meal breaks. Ensures documentation is completed and turned in by direct care staff as required. Responds to crisis situations on the milieu. Assists clinical staff in coordinating and leading activities for residents. Responsible for the reporting of incidents on the RTF. Assists in the recruitment and on-boarding of direct care staff, including interviewing, training, and orientation. Assists in continual training and/ coaching of direct care staff. Responsible for ensuring all units are adhering to the assigned schedule. Ensure all units are staffed appropriately to ratios. Responsible for ensuring all residents are appropriately dressed and ADLs are completed daily Responsible for ensuring resident's room are clean and safe to occupy. Floats between units and is able to respond to the needs of the staff as needed for coverage and additional help. Completes & ensures rounds are completed as per facility policy.
